What You'll Do7

  • 1Deliver direct therapy to students in grades 6-8 and 10-12, targeting IEP goals for articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics.
  • 2Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations, including standardized assessments, to determine eligibility and guide intervention.
  • 3Develop compliant IEPs with measurable goals, aligning with district and state regulations.
  • 4Lead ARD meetings, presenting evaluation results and collaborating on student support plans.
  • 5Maintain precise therapy documentation, including progress notes and caseload data, in school systems.
  • 6Partner with teachers and paraprofessionals to integrate communication strategies into classroom routines.
  • 7Coach families on carryover activities to reinforce speech and language skills at home.

Requirements8

  • 1Active TX SLP license (provide license image).
  • 22+ years of school-based experience, with middle and high school preferred.
  • 3Experience managing a caseload of 50-60 students.
  • 4Proficiency in conducting evaluations and writing IEPs.
  • 5Familiarity with ARD process and school documentation.
  • 6Willingness to complete fingerprinting for district clearance.
  • 7Comfort working onsite at assigned campus.
  • 8Available for full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) from August 2026 to May 2027.
