Specialty Radiologic Technologist - Interventional & Diagnostic Imaging
Overview
Owns specialized radiographic and interventional procedures at Banner Health in a high-function imaging team environment. Collaborates with physicians to produce diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort across shifts. Works Monday through Friday with after-hours on-call for weekends and holidays to support uninterrupted imaging services. This role stands out through the combination of interventional procedures, equipment care, and cross-functional teamwork.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build high quality diagnostic and interventional images for timely interpretation by physicians
- 2Produce and present imaging with related patient information while maintaining accurate documentation
- 3Demonstrate competence in invasive/interventional procedures and radiopharmaceutical administration
- 4Troubleshoot equipment and maintain performance to ensure safe, efficient operations
- 5Ensure radiation safety and maintain a secure, patient-centered environment
- 6Maintain department workflow and inventory to avoid service interruptions
- 7Educate patients and families about procedures and treatments
- 8Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional radiology standards
Requirements10
- 1Certificate or diploma from an approved Radiologic Technology program
- 2American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification and state licensure if applicable
- 3Advanced certification by accrediting body in specialty within 18 months of hire
- 4BLS certification
- 52 years of clinical radiology experience
- 6Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- 7Ability to independently perform prescribed radiographic procedures
- 8Maintain confidentiality of work information
- 9Ability to work 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call requirements
- 10Experience with interventional/cath lab or electrophysiology is a plus
