What You'll Do9

  • 1Direct day-to-day supervision and coaching for the Special Events Support Driver team, including staffing, work assignments, and performance management.
  • 2Partner with management to recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new employees, and conduct training sessions.
  • 3Lead planning and execution of field operations for motorsports, fairs, sporting events, travel shows, and corporate events.
  • 4Oversee on-site staff, ensuring safe and professional event execution, and manage logistics from setup to teardown.
  • 5Coordinate complimentary Emergency Road Service support for event attendees when applicable.
  • 6Resolve operational issues and customer or employee concerns independently while in the field.
  • 7Manage the department's vehicle fleet, including antique vehicles and trailers, ensuring maintenance and presentation readiness.
  • 8Assist with budget forecasting, expense reconciliation, and operational reporting as assigned by the Event Operations Manager.
  • 9Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team and participate in cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements10

  • 14-6 years of event operations or event management experience required.
  • 2Previous experience supervising or leading teams in a field operations or event environment strongly preferred.
  • 3Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
  • 4Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees.
  • 5Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • 6Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.
  • 7Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • 8Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 9Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support scheduled events.
  • 10Ability to travel up to 15% for meetings, conferences, and event support.
