Special Education Teacher, Grades 6-12 & IEP Support in MA
Overview
Special Education Teacher for grades 6-12 in Framingham MA onsite contract role with compensation $45-$50 per hour. You will design individualized learning experiences and adapt instruction to each student’s needs, collaborating with a team to support the whole learner. This role emphasizes trauma-informed, inclusive practice and hands-on development of Special Education expertise.

- 1Build engaging Massachusetts standards aligned instruction and intervene using individualized accommodations
- 2Adapt lessons to students' learning abilities and IEP requirements
- 3Provide individualized interventions, modifications, and accommodations to support diverse learners
- 4Create a structured safe classroom environment and monitor progress
- 5Assist with IEP implementation and educational planning to drive student outcomes
- 6Use multiple teaching methods and technology to maintain engagement
- 7Communicate with parents and guardians about progress and next steps
- 8Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other school staff to support student success
- 9Participate in staff meetings and professional development to improve practice
- 10Document academic development and ensure compliance with licensing requirements
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree
- 2Appropriate Massachusetts teaching certification/licensure
- 3Moderate Disabilities 5–12 licensure preferred
- 4At least 6 months of classroom experience preferred including teacher, co-teacher, paraprofessional, or instructional aide
- 5Experience or understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
- 6Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- 7Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment
- 8Flexibility and creativity when working with different student needs
