Special Education Teacher, K-12 SPED License
Overview
You will own the design and delivery of individualized education programs (IEPs) for a diverse K-12 caseload. You work with a supportive team of specialists and general educators, delivering instruction in resource rooms and classrooms. This role uses evidence-based practices to help each student reach their potential, with mentorship from a Clinical Advisory Team. You will advocate for students and ensure compliance with legal standards, making a direct impact on their growth.
What You'll Do7
- 1Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's strengths and needs within the first 90 days.
- 2Deliver instruction in resource rooms and classrooms, adapting to student needs.
- 3Monitor student progress and document outcomes per district and state guidelines.
- 4Collaborate with general education staff, families, and specialists to support student goals.
- 5Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
- 6Use evidence-based practices and modify curriculum as needed.
- 7Advocate for students and ensure compliance with legal and ethical requirements.

- 1Current Massachusetts SPED License required.
