Special Education Itinerant Teacher Bronx NY & SEIT Services
Overview
Owns and delivers one on one special instruction for children ages 3 to 5 within CPSE programs across diverse settings. Collaborates with families, caregivers, and clinical supervisors to support progress and confidentiality across home, daycare, and community environments. What You'll Do6
- 1Build individualized instruction plans for children aged 3 to 5 in CPSE programs
- 2Educate family members and caregivers on intervention strategies for carryover and engagement
- 3Work in patient homes, family day care homes, daycare centers, and other community settings
- 4Maintain accurate records of services provided and submit evaluations and progress reports on time
- 5Prepare progress reports according to program timelines and ensure HIPAA and state regulations are upheld
- 6Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families and submit records by deadlines
Requirements5
- 1Must have a passion for working with children and families
- 2One of the following NYS certifications or licenses: Students with Disabilities Birth-2 Initial or Professional Certification OR Students with Disabilities All Grades Initial or Professional Certification OR Permanent Special Education Certification
- 3Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism
- 4Fluency in a language other than English is a plus
- 5Must be able to travel to assigned cases including driving a personal vehicle, walking, or public transportation
