Overview

You will lead Rowan-Virtua SOM's Mobile Liver Health Unit in Cumberland County, NJ, driving hepatitis C screening, treatment, and education for rural residents. You'll supervise two Certified Peer Recovery Specialists and coordinate a Hepatitis C Elimination Service Corps of medical students. You'll manage grant operations, data collection, and reporting to meet project milestones. This temporary 3-4 month role offers a $70,000-$79,000 salary and the chance to impact HCV elimination directly.

What You'll Do10

  • 1Develop goals and operational systems for the Mobile Liver Health Unit with the Project Director.
  • 2Supervise daily operations and clinical oversight of liver health coaches, ensuring screening for HCV and HIV and linkage to care.
  • 3Educate patients testing positive for Hepatitis C on treatment stages, barrier removal, and direct-acting antivirals for cure.
  • 4Create training materials and train liver health coaches and the Hepatitis C Elimination Service Corps.
  • 5Coordinate the Service Corps of medical students to assist in HCV screening outreach.
  • 6Implement the Hepatitis C Self-Management Program curriculum with coaches.
  • 7Ensure data collection aligns with grant reporting and prepare monthly program reports.
  • 8Coordinate with project partners to meet grant activities and timelines, serving as liaison.
  • 9Build outreach calendars, secure supplies, and manage Mobile Staff operations.
  • 10Attend required training and meetings, adhering to Rowan-Virtua compliance standards.

Requirements6

  • 1Bachelor's degree in social work with experience in HIV/HCV testing and care coordination.
  • 2Experience with wraparound services, preferably on a mobile unit or infectious disease clinic.
  • 3Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • 4Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • 5Willingness to travel throughout Cumberland County and work on a mobile unit.
  • 6Legal authorization to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
