
SMT Quality Assurance Technician, AOI & Flying Probe
Overview
Own the quality of SMT assemblies through AOI and Flying Probe inspection. Run and maintain automated systems, validate data against engineering specs, and drive defect resolution. Work with engineering and production teams in Arvada, Colorado, onsite. This role centers on precision inspection and continuous process improvement.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate AOI and Flying Probe systems to inspect SMT assemblies against engineering specifications.
- 2Calibrate and maintain AOI and Flying Probe equipment to ensure accurate detection.
- 3Analyze inspection data to identify defect patterns and collaborate with engineering to implement corrective actions.
- 4Document inspection results and generate reports for production and quality teams.
- 5Program AOI and Flying Probe machines for new product introductions.
- 6Troubleshoot inspection failures and work with production to resolve root causes.
- 7Support continuous improvement efforts by providing data-driven insights to reduce defects.
- 8Ensure compliance with IPC standards and customer quality requirements.
Requirements6
- 12+ years experience operating AOI and Flying Probe equipment in an SMT environment.
- 2Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- 3Experience with SMT inspection standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-600) and defect classification.
- 4Proficiency in using inspection software and data analysis tools.
- 5Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
