What You'll Do9

  • 1Design microcontroller‑scale architectures for small satellite embedded systems using Microchip PIC or Arm Cortex‑M0/M4/M7 platforms
  • 2Develop, test, and debug embedded microcontroller and microprocessor applications
  • 3Assist with software releases documentation and deployment processes
  • 4Coordinate with subsystem leads to define software requirements and interface specifications
  • 5Create software libraries and applications for satellite testing and operational use
  • 6Lead the creation of secure, cleared software environments for government contracts
  • 7Drive continuous improvement of development workflows and quality assurance practices
  • 8Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative problem solving across multidisciplinary teams
  • 9Participate in requirement gathering and solution design for next‑generation satellite missions

Requirements11

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
  • 2Proven expertise in embedded systems development and real‑time design practices
  • 3Hands‑on experience with microcontrollers such as ARM Cortex‑M0 M4 M7 and development tools like Keil or IAR
  • 4Strong knowledge of RTOS and embedded Linux including kernel customization and driver development
  • 5Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance and meet federal background investigation requirements
  • 6Six or more years of combined experience in aerospace embedded software and systems engineering
  • 7Familiarity with hardware debugging tools including oscilloscopes logic analyzers and power supply validation
  • 8Experience with version control systems Git and CI/CD pipelines for embedded projects
  • 9Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly regulated government contracting environment
  • 10Commitment to lifelong learning with certifications such as AWS Certified or CPC Card preferred
  • 11Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
