Overview
The Site Supply Technician provides laboratory and administrative support across shipping receiving mailroom and glasswash departments. This hands‑on role rewards consistency and attention to detail. The ideal candidate enjoys repetitive tasks and follows established SOPs.
What You'll Do8
- 1Execute customer service in Shipping/Receiving handling inbound packages and freight collection packaging and outbound shipments while complying with controlled substance regulations
- 2Manage mailroom duties including USPS and interoffice mail distribution and IATA/49 and DOT Ground Shipper certifications
- 3Collect and deliver glassware performing manual and machine washing sterilization and material inspection
- 4Collaborate as a team member assisting with department coverage and completing Hazmat Air and Ground Shipper certifications
- 5Attend group meetings and communicate effectively with contractors staff and scientific personnel
- 6Maintain accurate data entry for department statistics and provide coverage
- 7Ensure adherence to HHMI policies while fostering positive relationships with vendors and internal staff
- 8Support logistics operations in a fast‑paced environment with on‑site amenities and flexible scheduling
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED required with 1‑2 years related experience preferred
- 2Familiarity with laboratory supplies and life sciences experience preferred
- 3Ability to lift and handle several pounds of equipment
- 4Strong organizational and time‑management skills with a high degree of accuracy
- 5Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- 6Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and segregation
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- 8Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays with flexibility
