Shipping Coordinator - Dental Lab, Logistics & Packaging
Overview
You own the final step in the dental lab process: shipping cases to doctors. At GCDL LLC in Prospect Heights, IL, you verify, package, and dispatch 50-100 cases daily with FedEx and UPS. You work with Magic Touch Software to track every shipment. Your accuracy keeps turnaround times intact and the customer experience strong.
What You'll Do9
- 1Verify completed cases against work orders and prescriptions before packaging.
- 2Package dental restorations with protective materials per lab standards.
- 3Label and organize outgoing shipments to ensure correct routing and delivery.
- 4Prepare shipping labels and manifests using FedEx and UPS systems.
- 5Track outgoing shipments and confirm carrier pickups each day.
- 6Coordinate with Production, Customer Care, and Case Entry to prioritize urgent shipments.
- 7Resolve shipping errors, damaged returns, or misrouted packages promptly.
- 8Assist with incoming shipments, including sorting and distribution.
- 9Maintain staging areas and shipping supplies to support workflow.
Requirements8
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 21+ year experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or production.
- 3Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 4Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn Magic Touch Software.
- 5Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- 6Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- 7Familiarity with FedEx and UPS carriers preferred.
- 8Experience handling fragile or high-value products preferred.
