Overview
Shipping and Receiving Clerk will own daily inbound and outbound operations for a distribution center in Secaucus, NJ. You will coordinate with UPS, DHL, and USPS to ensure timely shipments. The role sits within a fast-paced warehouse team supporting a global apparel company. You will handle inventory transfers, damages, and storage. This is a hands-on role that demands accuracy and proactive problem-solving.
What You'll Do9
- 1Coordinate with loaders and unloaders to manage daily dock operations
- 2Track receipts against Shipment/Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy
- 3Store inventory in designated warehouse areas using WMS
- 4Monitor goods and supplies in specific zones for restocking
- 5Process inventory transfers and damages through the system
- 6Work with receiving associates to meet daily throughput targets
- 7Prepare shipments for domestic couriers: UPS, DHL, and USPS
- 8Schedule pick-ups and deliveries for both domestic and international freight
- 9Organize shipping documents and bills of lading for record-keeping
Requirements6
- 11+ years experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in distribution
- 2Proficiency with WMS and inventory tracking systems
- 3Familiarity with major department store shipping procedures
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- 5High school diploma or equivalent
- 6Experience with UPS, DHL, and USPS shipping software
