Overview
As a Service Technician for Allegion in the Vallejo, CA region, you will own preventive maintenance and repairs for automated doors, ensuring systems operate safely and reliably for commercial clients. What You'll Do9
- 1Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on automated doors and related systems, inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating to keep equipment in working order.
- 2Service and repair electrical and mechanical components of door systems, including glazing and door frames, within the first 90 days.
- 3Build and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting contract retention and upselling service agreements.
- 4Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to diagnose issues and plan repair strategies.
- 5Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- 6Stay current on industry changes and new door technology developments to improve service efficiency.
- 7Coordinate with dispatchers and team members to prioritize urgent calls and meet response time targets.
- 8Ensure compliance with AAADM certification standards and safety regulations on every job site.
- 9Drive a company vehicle to customer locations, managing a daily route of service calls.
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Valid state driver's license without restrictions
- 3Associates degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial field (preferred)
- 4Prior experience in construction or electrical field (preferred)
- 5Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass or door frames (preferred)
- 6Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- 7AAADM Certification (preferred, training provided)
- 8Willingness to travel within the Vallejo, CA region
