Overview

You will own technical support for external and internal customers, setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, optimizing, and repairing injection molding systems. Your work spans hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems, plus programmable controls. You'll collaborate with a team of service technicians and report to the Service Team Leader, with extensive travel to customer sites. This role stands out with a focus on mentoring and leading other technicians, and you'll apply 10+ years of injection molding expertise to solve complex machine issues.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Troubleshoot and correct all control systems, including hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems and programmable controls.
  • 2Calibrate machines to achieve optimum performance and set up and maintain machines for production.
  • 3Provide system setup and startup support for all Husky equipment, including robots and product handling equipment.
  • 4Develop an organized approach to solving machine problems using manuals, drawings, procedures, and other reference materials.
  • 5Repair or replace any component on machines, robots, product handling equipment, and molds as required.
  • 6Coordinate and liaise with internal resources, including Call Center, SIF Team, and Spare Parts Centers, to ensure effective customer service.
  • 7Instruct service technicians and customer operators on the maintenance and safe operation of injection molding systems.
  • 8Communicate with Call Center and Spare Parts Centers to resolve field issues.
  • 9Provide regular and effective written reports to the Service Team Leader and arrange return of parts to Spare Parts Centers.

Requirements10

  • 110+ years of injection molding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting or related experience.
  • 2Post-Secondary education in Technical or Engineering studies.
  • 3Knowledge of blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • 4Knowledge of plastic processing and injection molding process.
  • 5Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system assembly knowledge required.
  • 6Knowledgeable in plastic materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, and Styrene.
  • 7Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong customer service orientation.
  • 8Tact and diplomacy to handle difficult or unhappy customers.
  • 9Demonstrated initiative-taker with a positive attitude and dedicated team player.
  • 10Travel survival skills due to extensive travel required in this position.
