Server, Lakeside Restaurant & Bar
Overview
You'll own the guest experience at Shoreline Hotel's Lake Minnetonka dining venue, delivering 5-star service during peak seasons. Work within a tight-knit team of 15+ servers and support staff, handling 50+ covers per shift. This role blends front-of-house hospitality with hands-on Toast POS transactions, plus upselling of craft cocktails and wines.
What You'll Do7
- 1Greet guests within 90 seconds of seating and personalize service through their entire visit
- 2Capture orders on Toast POS with 99% accuracy and upsell signature cocktails and wines
- 3Deliver plates and drinks within 5 minutes of order, maintaining food safety standards
- 4Reset tables and service stations to health code compliance every 30 minutes
- 5Assist kitchen prep during rushes, cutting garnishes and plating desserts
- 6Reconcile cash drawer within $0.00 variance and process card payments securely
- 7Handle guest complaints with 2-minute resolution and escalate to management when needed
Requirements6
- 11+ years of restaurant serving experience in a high-volume setting
- 2Hands-on Toast POS or OpenTable experience preferred
- 3State Food Handler certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- 42-3 seasons of wine and cocktail knowledge, including pour sizes and garnishes
- 5Basic math skills to calculate tips and split checks quickly
- 6Flexible schedule covering weekends and holidays
