What You'll Do10
- 1Welcome guests and guide them through the menu, highlighting chef-curated items like Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Million Dollar Bacon.
- 2Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system, entering modifications and special requests promptly.
- 3Run food and drinks to tables, ensuring orders match expectations and guests have everything they need.
- 4Upsell appetizers, drinks, and desserts to increase average ticket size while respecting guest preferences.
- 5Clear and reset tables quickly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area for the next guests.
- 6Assist fellow servers and bussers during rush periods, stepping in to refill drinks or deliver orders as needed.
- 7Handle guest complaints with empathy, escalating to management when necessary to resolve issues.
- 8Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, keeping workstations and dining areas spotless.
- 9Process payments accurately, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, and issue receipts.
- 10Memorize the menu and daily specials, answering questions about ingredients and preparation methods.
Requirements8
- 1Must be at least 18 years of age
- 21+ years of server experience in a full-service restaurant, preferably breakfast or brunch
- 3Ability to carry multiple plates and trays, lift up to 25 pounds, and stand for 8 hours
- 4Master the Five Steps of Service within the first 30 days
- 5Work weekends and holidays, including opening shifts at 7 AM
- 6Serve safe, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment, adhering to ServSafe principles
- 7Communicate clearly and positively with guests and team members, speaking and understanding English
- 8Handle cash and operate POS systems accurately, balancing a cash drawer at end of shift
