Overview
You will own the guest experience at Tokyo Hana, a Japanese restaurant in Dallas, serving 200+ covers nightly. You will take orders, deliver food, and process payments using Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable, while maintaining sanitation standards. You'll join a team of 5-8 servers and 2 hosts, supported by a dedicated kitchen staff. This role stands out with paid training, employee discounts, and flexible scheduling.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit.
- 2Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
- 3Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails and spirits, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- 4Process sales transactions smoothly, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with basic math accuracy.
- 5Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- 6Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including bussing tables and food handling procedures.
- 7Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- 8Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
- 9Follow food safety protocols and proper sanitation practices to uphold health standards in food service environments.
- 10Support team members with host/hostess duties or cashiering during busy periods to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements7
- 11+ year of restaurant server experience in a food service or hospitality setting.
- 2Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
- 3Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service.
- 4Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- 5Experience in fine dining environments or high-volume restaurants is a plus.
- 6Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
- 7Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and handling cash confidently.
