Own dining service in memory care and assisted living at scale, delivering warm, attentive meals to residents. Collaborate with kitchen and other staff to ensure safety and satisfaction. What You'll Do10
- 1Build menu knowledge and accurately record and deliver orders to residents
- 2Provide prompt, courteous service and check on residents during meals to address requests
- 3Assist with dining room setup and maintain cleanliness throughout service
- 4Clear tables and reset for the next service and deliver room service orders as needed
- 5Follow food safety and hygiene procedures and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- 6Dispose of food and waste per policy and uphold resident confidentiality
- 7Interact with residents and guests in a professional, warm manner and create a positive dining atmosphere
- 8Respond to dietary needs and questions about meals and special diets
- 9Maintain personal hygiene and safety standards and support team with flexible tasks
- 10Perform other duties as assigned to ensure high quality dining experiences
Requirements10
- 1Maintain high standards of food service sanitation and safety through on the job training
- 2Maintain personal hygiene including frequent hand washing and hair secured away from the face
- 3Develop interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with department staff
- 4Learn to operate kitchen equipment as needed
- 5Obtain and maintain active CPR First Aid Certification during employment
- 6Possess current Food Handler card issued by local Health Department
- 7Understand dietary practices, procedures, and relevant laws for hospital and nursing home operations
- 8Possess friendly, attentive, professional demeanor with residents and guests
- 9Maintain confidentiality of resident care information
- 10Create an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and calm, cheerful service
