
Senior Tanium Consultant - Observability
Overview
You will own Tanium observability deployments for a Fortune 500 client, scaling Tanium across 50,000 endpoints. You join a delivery team of 10 engineers and collaborate with client security operations. This contract role stands out for its end-to-end ownership and direct client exposure.

- 1Design and deploy Tanium modules for observability and endpoint telemetry across 50,000 endpoints.
- 2Lead technical workshops with client stakeholders to define observability requirements and success metrics.
- 3Build custom Tanium sensors and dashboards to monitor endpoint health and performance.
- 4Integrate Tanium with ServiceNow and Splunk for incident correlation and alerting.
- 5Optimize Tanium queries and deployment packages for low latency and minimal agent impact.
- 6Drive adoption of observability best practices across the client's IT operations team.
- 7Troubleshoot complex endpoint issues and provide root cause analysis for performance anomalies.
- 8Document architecture, runbooks, and operational guides for the client's support team.
Requirements7
- 15+ years in endpoint management or observability engineering, with 2+ years specifically on Tanium.
- 2Hands-on experience deploying Tanium modules: Patch, Comply, Discover, and Enforce.
- 3Proficiency in Tanium Query Language (TQL) and building custom sensors.
- 4Experience integrating Tanium with ServiceNow or Splunk for alerting and ticketing.
- 5Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell for automation and data analysis.
- 6Excellent client-facing communication and ability to lead technical discussions.
- 7Relevant certifications: Tanium Certified Administrator (TCA) or Tanium Certified Engineer (TCE) preferred.
Salary Insight
