Senior Systems Engineer - NGA Geospatial Systems
Overview
Lead systems engineering for an Agile program delivering GEOINT capabilities to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Work on-site at a Government facility as a trusted engineering partner to mission system owners. Own engineering rigor across exceptionally complex systems spanning software, data, and infrastructure. Shape how mission needs become verified, delivered capability. This position is contingent upon contract award.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead requirements analysis decomposition and traceability from mission needs to delivered capability
- 2Define and manage system interfaces interface control documentation and cross-system dependencies
- 3Develop and maintain system design documentation engineering artifacts and technical baselines
- 4Lead verification and validation planning and support test execution across releases
- 5Perform engineering trade studies and risk assessments recommending courses of action
- 6Coordinate engineering activities with Government engineers delivery teams and external programs
- 7Mentor mid-level and junior systems engineers enforcing engineering standards
Requirements10
- 1TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain Polygraph Bachelor's degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted)
- 28+ years of systems engineering experience on complex software-intensive systems
- 3Demonstrated experience with requirements management interface definition and V&V
- 4Experience supporting Government programs through engineering reviews and technical baselines
- 5Strong technical writing and stakeholder communication skills
- 6Ability to work on-site at a Government facility
- 7Experience using geospatial software such as Esri ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Enterprise and related APIs
- 8Experience with GEOINT systems or geospatial capabilities
- 9Experience in Agile or SAFe delivery environments
- 10Familiarity with model-based systems engineering MBSE practices
