Senior Software Engineer – Platform (Containers & Kubernetes)
Overview
AVEVA seeks a skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead development of the Trusted Container Registry platform. This role drives platform growth and improves developer experience. The ideal candidate builds internal platforms and automates container workflows.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build, operate, and improve the Trusted Container Registry and its supporting services
- 2Develop automation for image ingestion tagging scanning signing and publishing
- 3Implement security controls such as vulnerability scanning malware detection and Cosign-based signature verification
- 4Enhance developer experience by expanding the catalog of secure vetted images
- 5Support onboarding and enablement for engineering teams adopting TCR
- 6Collaborate with Product Security to deliver roadmap features ensuring secure container operations
- 7Contribute to registry auditability usage reporting and compliance initiatives including open-source escrow requirements
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in computer science computer engineering or similar major
- 2Hands-on experience with containers registries and OCI image workflows
- 3Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Azure DevOps GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- 4Experience with Kubernetes Helm charts or cloud-native infrastructure on AWS Azure or Google Cloud
- 5Proficiency in Python PowerShell Bash Go or similar scripting language
- 6Working experience with object-oriented languages such as C# and .NET
- 7Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 8Experience with Cosign Sigstore or container signing frameworks
- 9Familiarity with security scanning tools BlackDuck Trivy or similar enterprise solutions
- 10Understanding of secure software supply chain frameworks like SLSA or NIST SSDF
- 11Strong communication skills for stakeholder negotiations and internal troubleshooting
