Senior Scientist, Mass Spectrometry & Biotherapeutics Analysis
Overview
Lead the development of advanced MS methods to characterize biotherapeutics across development stages including monoclonal antibodies bispecifics siRNAs and AAVs. You will own method development validation and cross functional analytical support in a hands on mass spectrometry lab. What You'll Do7
- 1Build and optimize LC MS GC MS ICP MS methods for small molecules and biologics to enable product development
- 2Design and execute targeted and untargeted analyses on cell culture media and drug substances ensuring robust data within 90 days
- 3Own documentation of procedures results and ELN entries with clarity and traceability
- 4Lead cross functional analytical discussions and present data driven insights to internal and external stakeholders
- 5Drive high throughput analysis and collaboration with automation tools to increase efficiency
- 6Collaborate on extended characterization of monoclonal antibodies and biologics by MS to support development
- 7Stay current with MS technologies and apply relevant innovations to projects
Requirements9
- 1MS degree in Analytical Chemistry Chemistry Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience or PhD with 0 2+ years
- 2Extensive hands on experience with LC-MS ICP-MS and/or GC-MS
- 3Demonstrated expertise in small molecule characterization including accurate mass isotope pattern analysis and MS/MS fragmentation
- 4Ability to independently design conduct and troubleshoot complex MS experiments
- 5Strong documentation skills in ELN
- 6Experience supporting cross functional scientific teams with analytical data and interpretation
- 7Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data to diverse audiences
- 8Experience with extended characterization of monoclonal antibodies by MS
- 9Familiarity with biotherapeutic modalities such as monoclonal antibodies bispecifics siRNAs and AAVs
