Senior REACT JS Developer, DC Government & Web Platform
Overview
React JS lead for a government web platform at scale in Washington, DC. Own the front-end development from design to production, delivering responsive UI across devices and browsers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with security and infrastructure requirements. This role emphasizes maintainable code, performance insights, and proactive problem solving in a complex enterprise setting.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build clean, scalable ReactJS code and refactor/debug existing components
- 2Design and implement UI features from wireframes and mockups into production-ready interfaces with JavaScript
- 3Develop, test, and deploy applications ensuring enterprise standards and compliant architecture
- 4Collaborate with internal teams to define software design and architecture using REST/RPC APIs
- 5Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues across integrated technologies and environments
- 6Coordinate development activities and provide technical guidance to teammates and stakeholders
- 7Deliver documentation throughout the lifecycle and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge
- 8Support statewide system integrations and industry-specific applications
- 9Engage with executive stakeholders and act as SME for frontend technologies in scope
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
- 23+ years building front-end applications with React and Redux architecture
- 33+ years working with JavaScript ES6+ and HTML5/CSS3
- 410 years of web development experience with modern frontend frameworks
- 5Experience with container-based development environments (OpenShift or similar) and application servers (Tomcat/Jetty/undertow)
- 6Experience with RXJS, NodeJS, and modern front-end tooling
- 7Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and Agile methodologies
- 8Ability to work in a remote setting with occasional in-person interviews in DC
- 9Proactive problem solving and ability to collaborate with executive and technical stakeholders
