What You'll Do8
- 1Build and ship user-facing features with React JS and Redux for the DMV enterprise portal, focusing on core workflows like vehicle registration and license renewal.
- 2Design modular, reusable UI components that integrate with REST APIs and streamline state management across the application.
- 3Test components with Jest and React Testing Library to ensure quality from development to QA.
- 4Debug production issues using browser dev tools and Chrome DevTools, tracing root causes and patching defects.
- 5Collaborate with back-end developers to align API contracts and improve data flow with TypeScript and Webpack.
- 6Own the performance optimization of the front-end bundle, reducing load time and improving Lighthouse scores.
- 7Drive code reviews and enforce best practices in version control with Git and Agile workflows.
- 8Ship responsive, accessible interfaces that meet federal and DC government compliance standards.
Requirements9
- 15+ years building single-page applications with React JS and Redux.
- 23+ years writing JavaScript ES6 and HTML5/CSS3 in production environments.
- 32+ years experience with TypeScript and Webpack for module bundling and type safety.
- 42+ years testing with Jest and React Testing Library.
- 51+ years working on Agile teams with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- 6Local to DC, MD, or VA (onsite requirement at OCTO, 200 I Street, SE, Washington DC).
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8Must pass a background check for DC government contract work.
- 9Experience with Node.js and Express for API integration is a plus.
