Senior Physician Assistant - General Surgery
Overview
Lead high quality efficient team based patient focused care overseeing diverse clinical settings. Provide mentorship to less experienced Physician Assistants while delivering exceptional clinical and operational expertise. Foster a collaborative environment across departments.
What You'll Do11
- 1Examine patients conduct comprehensive physical exams and compile medical data
- 2Order interpret diagnostic tests including imaging studies and laboratory tests
- 3Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections immunizations suturing and wound care
- 4Develop patient management plans document progress notes and ensure continuity of care
- 5Educate patients on compliance therapeutic regimens and health maintenance
- 6Facilitate admissions transfers discharges and coordinate perioperative support
- 7First assist in surgeries or perform procedures as applicable
- 8Round inpatients and complete admission evaluations
- 9Provide pre-operative education and answer patient questions about procedures
- 10Maintain fluoroscopy permits or obtain within eighteen months
- 11Work day shifts Monday through Friday
Requirements10
- 1Minimum three years experience within last five years as a physician assistant
- 2Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program
- 3California Physician Assistant License required at hire
- 4National Provider Identifier required at hire
- 5Basic Life Support certification
- 6Fluoroscopy permit or ability to obtain within eighteen months
- 7Three to five years experience in general surgery specialties
- 8Ability to work in labor management partnership environment
- 9Second work location at Richmond Medical Center
- 10Experience in orthopedics interventional radiology radiation oncology
Salary Insight
$131 - $170k per year
