The City of Folsom seeks a Senior Office Assistant to lead the Waste & Recycling Division's administrative support. This full‑time on‑site role operates Monday‑Friday and requires strong customer service skills combined with technical clerical expertise. Responsibilities include managing waste collection inquiries, coordinating service logistics, and supporting staff while collaborating across departments.
What You'll Do11

- 8Create service orders manage temporary dumpster rentals and coordinate special collections
- 9Explain city and state waste mandates and assist residents with container selection
- 10Collaborate on process improvements and provide exceptional community service
- 11Lead and develop staff while supervising lower‑level personnel when needed
Requirements8
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 22 years public contact clerical experience including one year at journey level
- 3High school diploma or equivalent
- 4Associate degree in accounting business or related field preferred
- 5Mobility frequent keyboard use sitting long periods occasional bending
- 6Physical demands lifting up to 25 pounds occasional squatting
- 7Emotional resilience frequent decision making public interaction occasional solo work
- 8Ability to learn department specific methods and modern office practices
