
Senior Network Engineering Manager, FinTech Low-Latency
Overview
Senior Manager, Network Engineering owns low-latency network architecture across global trading floors. You lead a team of network engineers building hybrid cloud backbones connecting 3+ years of MPLS and VXLAN deployments. Scale resilient traffic engineering on Arista and Juniper stacks. This role is on-site 4 days a week in Chicago, Kansas City, New York, or Overland Park. FinTech experience is mandatory. You will design routing and switching behavior for BGP, OSPF, and multicast in a production trading environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design low-latency routing architectures for global WAN/MPLS and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- 2Lead the engineering team optimizing BGP, OSPF, and VXLAN behavior across regional data centers.
- 3Own resilient traffic engineering across global networks, ensuring < 1ms failover.
- 4Drive switching and routing design for Arista and Juniper platforms, including multicast and PLM-SM.
- 5Deploy and maintain hybrid cloud interconnectivity, balancing performance and cost.
- 6Scale network capacity planning and monitoring for trading infrastructure peaks.
- 7Mentor senior and junior engineers in low-latency design patterns.
- 8Collaborate with trading desks to translate latency requirements into network policies.
Requirements9
- 13+ years in a network leadership or management role.
- 2Expert-level low-latency architecture routing design in fintech or trading environments.
- 3Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VXLAN.
- 4Hands-on experience with Arista and Juniper switches and routers.
- 5Global WAN/MPLS and hybrid cloud connectivity experience.
- 6Network certification: CCIE or JNCIE preferred.
- 7Knowledge of multicast and PLM-SM protocols.
- 8Resilient traffic engineering across global networks.
- 9US citizenship or Green Card required, no sponsorship.
Salary Insight
$180 - $200k per year
