Overview
You will own the technical direction for small to mid-sized mobile projects, delivering Android features that touch millions of travelers. You will design, implement, and debug software using Kotlin, Java, and Jetpack Compose, collaborating with cross-functional teams to evolve the platform architecture. You will build internal libraries and reusable components to support shared functionality across apps. What You'll Do8
- 1Design and implement Android features in Kotlin and Java, translating requirements into code and performing testing and debugging.
- 2Drive technical direction for small to mid-sized projects, making tradeoff analysis and providing alternative solutions to given problems.
- 3Ship a component or feature within 1-3 months, resolving roadblocks and driving issues to closure.
- 4Build and maintain internal libraries and reusable components for cross-platform integration.
- 5Implement improvements to Gradle build systems and development workflows to reduce build times.
- 6Collaborate with program management and testing peers to define requirements and ensure quality.
- 7Participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others.
- 8Debug and optimize mobile applications using Unit and UI testing frameworks, ensuring adherence to engineering processes.
Requirements8
- 18+ years of progressive experience in mobile engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 6+ years with a Master's degree.
- 2Expertise in Android development with Kotlin and Java.
- 3Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
- 4Proficiency with Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
- 5Experience integrating GraphQL APIs in mobile applications.
- 6Solid understanding of DI (Dependency Injection) frameworks.
- 7Proven ability to write Unit and UI tests for mobile apps.
- 8Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile app delivery.
