Senior Mobile DevOps Engineer, Android & iOS
Overview
Own the mobile CI/CD backbone for a leading tech firm's Android and iOS apps. You will design, build, and maintain pipelines that ship millions of updates weekly. Join a platform team of 10 engineers, collaborating closely with mobile developers across 4 product squads. This contract role offers the chance to standardize deployment processes and reduce release cycles by half.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Android and iOS using Jenkins and Fastlane.
- 2Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS with Terraform and Kubernetes for mobile backend services.
- 3Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Datadog and Crashlytics to ensure app stability.
- 4Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python scripts and Ansible.
- 5Ensure smooth, reliable deployments by coordinating with release managers and developers.
- 6Debug and resolve build failures, environment issues, and app store submission blockers.
- 7Scale the pipeline to handle 20+ daily builds and 5+ parallel test runs.
- 8Drive the adoption of Bitrise for faster, more flexible mobile builds.
Requirements8
- 18+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on Mobile DevOps.
- 2Hands-on experience with both Android and iOS build and release processes.
- 3Expertise in Jenkins, Fastlane, or Bitrise for CI/CD automation.
- 4Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub Actions, and code signing for mobile.
- 5Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerized environments.
- 6Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services for mobile infrastructure.
- 75+ years scripting with Python or Bash for automation.
- 8Track record of implementing monitoring tools like Datadog or Sentry.
