What You'll Do10
- 1Lead complex medical malpractice defense matters from discovery through trial, ensuring favorable outcomes and efficient case management
- 2Collaborate with attorneys, teams, and partners on strategic project execution and knowledge sharing
- 3Attend court appearances, depositions, motion hearings, and trials, representing clients with confidence
- 4Maintain proactive, transparent client communications with detailed updates and expectation management
- 5Draft and review pleadings, discovery requests, motions, settlement agreements, and other critical legal documents
- 6Contribute to case strategy development and support senior attorneys in trial and settlement negotiations
- 7Mentor and train junior team members to support professional development and case quality
- 8Manage diverse caseload with emphasis on quality, timeliness, and compliance in a fast-paced environment
- 9Support business development and client service initiatives to strengthen client relationships
- 10Engage in continuous learning and development to enhance legal expertise in medical malpractice defense
Requirements7
- 1JD from an accredited law school
- 2Admitted to practice in Texas
- 38+ years of defense litigation focusing on medical malpractice or healthcare defense
- 4Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 5Client-facing experience preferred
- 6Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- 7Legal project management experience is helpful
