Senior Manager, Network Security & Cloud Compliance
Overview
Lead network, cloud, and security compliance across a multi-subsidiary hardware and software company expanding in the defense sector. Own the strategy and execution for CMMC and NIST compliance, driving audits and documentation. Collaborate with department heads, IT, GRC, and engineering leaders to align technical operations with regulatory standards. This role shapes a newly created function, directing a team of engineers and building roadmaps for secure infrastructure.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and execute a compliance roadmap for CMMC and NIST standards across infrastructure, networks, and cloud.
- 2Lead cross-functional initiatives with IT Security, GRC, and engineering teams to enforce security controls and documentation.
- 3Own the self-audit cycle, updating risk, compliance, and security plans to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
- 4Direct a team of infrastructure, network, cloud, and security engineers, mentoring and managing daily operations.
- 5Drive communication with C-level executives on compliance status, risks, and remediation efforts.
- 6Design and implement separation and information limitation protocols for R&D and product engineering.
- 7Coordinate multi-simultaneous projects, balancing regulatory deadlines with operational priorities.
- 8Serve as the primary liaison for NIST and CMMC audits, ensuring readiness and successful outcomes.
- 9Develop and maintain documentation for IT governance, risk management, and security procedures.
Requirements8
- 15+ years managing network, cloud, and security compliance in a regulated industry.
- 2Hands-on experience with CMMC and NIST frameworks, including audit preparation and control implementation.
- 3Background leading infrastructure and security teams, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- 4Proven track record collaborating with IT Security, GRC, and engineering leadership on compliance initiatives.
- 5Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing remediation plans for cloud and network infrastructure.
- 6BS or MS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically.
- 8Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple compliance projects simultaneously.
Salary Insight
$150 - $195k per year
