Overview
Senior Linux Systems Engineer owns the design, deployment, and maintenance of a global low-latency trading and research infrastructure. You will work with Red Hat Linux, Kubernetes, and Ansible to ensure sub-millisecond performance. Collaborate with technologists and business teams to scale systems across multiple data centers. What You'll Do7
- 1Design and implement low-latency Linux systems for trading and research infrastructure.
- 2Automate system provisioning and configuration with Ansible and Terraform.
- 3Monitor and tune Linux kernel parameters for optimal network and storage latency.
- 4Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- 5Coordinate with network and hardware teams to reduce packet processing delays.
- 6Troubleshoot complex system issues, from kernel panics to configuration drift.
- 7Document system architectures and runbooks for operational efficiency.
Requirements7
- 15+ years hands-on experience as a Linux systems engineer in a low-latency environment.
- 2Expert knowledge of Red Hat Linux or CentOS with kernel tuning expertise.
- 3Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash for automation.
- 4Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- 5Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production.
- 6Understanding of network protocols and low-latency networking (e.g., InfiniBand).
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
