Overview
Own the strategy and evolution of AssetMark's wealth management platform, serving 10,500+ advisors with $150B+ in assets under management. Partner across investment, distribution, operations, technology, and legal teams to design, launch, and scale tax-aware and personalized investment solutions. This role demands 8+ years in financial services product management, with deep knowledge of UMA, overlay management, and direct indexing. You'll influence without authority and drive programs from concept to launch, shaping the future of advisor technology.
What You'll Do9
- 1Shape the strategy and roadmap for AssetMark's wealth management programs, defining the future of UMA and direct indexing services.
- 2Lead the development and launch of new wealth management products, owning the lifecycle from ideation to market.
- 3Define business requirements and success metrics for new platform capabilities, aligning with client needs and business goals.
- 4Drive cross-functional execution across Sales, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and Legal teams, removing roadblocks.
- 5Influence and align stakeholders in a matrixed environment, building consensus for complex initiatives.
- 6Serve as a subject matter expert on wealth management solutions, translating industry trends into actionable product enhancements.
- 7Develop go-to-market strategies, advisor communications, and educational materials for new offerings.
- 8Create executive-level presentations and product materials to support leadership updates and strategic initiatives.
- 9Monitor competitive and industry trends to identify innovation opportunities, and provide ongoing reporting and issue resolution for assigned programs.
Requirements9
- 18+ years of experience in product management or platform strategy within Financial Services or FinTech.
- 2Strong understanding of portfolio construction, securities trading, and financial planning.
- 3Hands-on experience with UMA, overlay tax-aware management, and direct indexing.
- 4Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- 5Exceptional PowerPoint skills, creating polished, executive-ready presentations.
- 6Strategic and analytical problem-solving, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- 7Strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- 8Familiarity with advisor personas and wealth management industry trends.
- 9Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
