This role supports healthcare technology environment enhancing interoperability between Laboratory Information Systems EMR and other clinical applications through technical leadership.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design develop implement and support HL7 interfaces between LIS EMR and healthcare applications
- 2Manage and troubleshoot inbound and outbound healthcare integrations using interface engines
- 3Analyze HL7 messages resolve mapping routing and workflow issues
- 4Support interoperability projects including new interface implementations upgrades migrations and system enhancements
- 5Configure and maintain secure connectivity solutions including VPN SFTP TCP/IP and other healthcare data exchange methods
- 6Provide infrastructure support for servers cloud environments networking and application platforms
- 7Monitor system performance troubleshoot production issues and implement proactive solutions
- 8Collaborate with vendors clinical teams and internal stakeholders to ensure successful integrations
- 9Develop technical documentation interface specifications and operational procedures
- 10Participate in testing validation and go-live activities including occasional after-hours support
- 11Ensure compliance with healthcare security privacy and regulatory requirements
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Healthcare Informatics or related field
- 25+ years of experience in healthcare IT interoperability or infrastructure engineering
- 3Strong experience with HL7 v2.x messaging standards and healthcare integrations
- 4Hands-on experience with LIS/EMR integrations and interface troubleshooting
- 5Experience with interface engines such as Mirth Connect or similar platforms
- 6Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP VPN SFTP firewalls and connectivity troubleshooting
- 7Experience supporting Windows Server environments and cloud-based infrastructure
- 8Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage complex technical issues
Salary Insight
$125 - $150k per year
