What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and lead interior design solutions from concept through construction, collaborating with Design leadership and Project leadership on projects of all sizes.
- 2Manage the firm's resource library, maintaining physical and digital databases for materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
- 3Create and oversee FF&E specifications, location plans, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- 4Prepare and analyze bid tabulations for FF&E bid documents to align with client budgets and design intent.
- 5Coordinate interior finish lists and tagging for finish locations and elevations, maintaining a leading technical role.
- 6Make financial recommendations to clients and collaborate with senior leadership to develop cost management strategies at each project phase.
- 7Coordinate with third-party FF&E procurement companies to ensure seamless delivery and installation.
- 8Review the work of junior staff to ensure quality and adherence to design standards.
- 9Provide leadership during value engineering exercises, ensuring design integrity while achieving cost savings.
- 10Answer RFIs (Requests for Information) and coordinate responses with the project team, overseeing shop drawings and submittals.
- 11Lead coordination with construction managers, contractors, and clients through Design Development to Construction Administration phases, and attend regular construction meetings.
Requirements10
- 1NCIDQ certification and a minimum of 10+ years of interior design experience, with a focus on commercial projects.
- 2In-depth knowledge of FF&E specification, sourcing, budgeting, and procurement processes.
- 3Proven ability to lead projects from concept through construction, including value engineering and construction administration.
- 4Strong technical skills in creating and reviewing finish plans, elevations, and shop drawings.
- 5Experience with bid analysis and cost management, with the ability to make financial recommendations to clients.
- 6Excellent collaboration and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior designers.
- 7Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office suite for design documentation and presentations.
- 8Knowledge of materials, finishes, and furniture systems to maintain a leading technical resource role.
- 9Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and budgets.
- 10Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
