What You'll Do10
- 1Lead design strategy sessions, driving research, concept, and presentation development for senior living, residential, and commercial projects.
- 2Own project timelines and deliverables, ensuring successful execution from early phases to final installation within specified deadlines.
- 3Partner with FF&E designers to select colors, materials, and furniture that align with project concepts.
- 4Coordinate with lighting and graphic designers to integrate elements that support the overall design narrative.
- 5Guide and mentor junior designers, fostering their professional growth and contribution to team success.
- 6Create functional and aesthetic designs that enhance living spaces and support client objectives.
- 7Develop drawings, presentations, cost estimates, and proposals, and coordinate contractor work and installations.
- 8Build and manage client and partner relationships, delivering expert-level service and tracking budgets, timelines, and progress.
- 9Prepare reports and communications for internal teams and clients, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- 10Participate in strategic business growth initiatives and contribute to team projects.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor or master’s degree in interior design.
- 24-10 years of experience designing corporate, multi-family, hospitality, or senior living spaces.
- 3NCIDQ certification preferred but not required.
- 4Excellent design, graphic, and presentation skills.
- 5Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- 6Experience interfacing with clients and collaborating with architecture and consultant teams.
- 7Experience preparing construction documents and construction administration.
- 8General knowledge of building codes and ADA guidelines for life safety and space planning.
- 9Strong project management skills.
- 10Ability to travel occasionally and handle loads up to 20lbs, with the ability to walk and stand for long periods.
