Senior Lighting Designer
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Lighting Designer to lead innovative lighting projects across diverse architectural environments. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead the conceptualization and development of lighting designs for residential interior projects aligning with client goals and architectural intent
- 2Utilize advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD Revit SketchUp Rhinoceros 3D and 3ds Max to create detailed lighting plans renderings and visual presentations
- 3Prepare comprehensive construction detail documentation including specifications for fixtures controls wiring diagrams and installation guidelines compliant with building codes and safety standards
- 4Conduct building code analysis related to lighting requirements and ensure all designs meet local regulations and sustainability standards
- 5Manage multiple design projects simultaneously by coordinating schedules budgets client communications and team deliverables to ensure timely project completion
- 6Develop 3D models for architectural visualization using software like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to produce compelling renderings that showcase lighting concepts
- 7Collaborate with contractors during the construction phase to oversee installation quality troubleshoot issues on-site and ensure adherence to design intent
- 8Engage in client communication throughout the project lifecycle by presenting designs clearly and incorporating feedback effectively
- 9Support business growth by contributing to lighting sales efforts through technical expertise and innovative proposals for renovation or remodeling projects
Requirements9
- 1Proven experience in lighting design within residential interior projects or similar environments with a portfolio demonstrating successful project execution
- 2Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD Revit SketchUp Rhinoceros 3D 3ds Max and Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop for drafting rendering and presentation purposes
- 3Strong understanding of building code compliance related to lighting systems as well as knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations
- 4Skilled in 3D modeling for architectural design and rendering techniques that enhance visual communication of concepts
- 5Experience managing multiple projects from inception through completion while maintaining high-quality standards within budget constraints
- 6Excellent client communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and incorporate feedback constructively
- 7Knowledge of color theory and graphic design principles relevant to creating visually appealing lighting schemes
- 8Familiarity with building information modeling BIM tools such as Revit for integrated project delivery
- 9Construction experience including site visits installation oversight and troubleshooting during renovation or remodeling projects
Salary Insight
