Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Kubernetes & AWS
Overview
You will own Ivo's multi-tenant infrastructure, ensuring each customer's isolated environment runs reliably across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You'll lead Kubernetes operations, build internal tooling, and set real SLOs that meet enterprise SLAs. What You'll Do10
- 1Run Kubernetes across multi-cluster, multi-region deployments on AWS/GCP/Azure, with failover and disaster recovery that works when it matters.
- 2Build internal tools for spinning up and managing clusters, so dev-to-prod is consistent and no one hand-crafts environments at 2am.
- 3Design workload isolation strategy for ML vs API traffic, balancing cost, performance, and reliability without over-engineering.
- 4Make security invisible: implement RBAC, workload identity, secrets management, data residency, and audit trails.
- 5Set SLOs that don't lie, enforce them across teams, and hold yourself accountable.
- 6Own CI/CD with GitHub Actions and IaC with Pulumi, ensuring every shipped change passes through your hands.
- 7Keep Docker environments sane across dev, staging, and prod, ending 'works on my machine'.
- 8Debug end-to-end across APIs, workers, jobs, and frontend builds—never siloed to 'infra'.
- 9Automate repetitive tasks to make everyone's day faster.
- 10Lead incident response and write postmortems that people actually read and learn from.
Requirements9
- 15+ years building and operating distributed systems in production.
- 2Deep expertise with Kubernetes—cluster architecture, scheduling, networking, and storage primitives.
- 3Strong with IaC and CI/CD: Pulumi or Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, across multi-cluster and multi-region setups.
- 4You think in failure modes—you design for 'when this breaks' from day one.
- 5You translate compliance and legal requirements into real infrastructure constraints.
- 6Full-stack range to debug across backend and frontend when the bug crosses boundaries.
- 7Systematic debugging skills—go five layers deep to find root cause.
- 8Comfort with ambiguity: 'something's broken somewhere' is a starting point.
- 9Startup experience preferred, but not required.
