Overview
As a Senior HVAC Service Technician, you will own service, repair, and installation for commercial clients across the Boston metro area. With 7+ years of hands-on experience, you'll diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues, install new systems, and mentor junior techs. You'll work from our Millis, MA facility, supported by a collaborative team and a steady pipeline of assignments. This role offers a direct path to lead technician, backed by investment in your EPA and MA Oil Burner certifications.
What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair HVAC system faults on Frick and Evapco equipment, restoring performance within the first 90 days.
- 2Perform routine maintenance on commercial HVAC units, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant checks.
- 3Install new HVAC systems per manufacturer specs and local codes, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- 4Respond to emergency service calls, triaging issues and implementing fixes on the spot.
- 5Log every service call with details on diagnosis, parts, and labor to build a clear maintenance history.
- 6Collaborate with the service team to share repair insights and improve response times.
- 7Stay current on HVAC technologies and code updates through training and field research.
- 8Enforce safety protocols on every job, from lockout/tagout to refrigerant handling.
Requirements8
- 17+ years of hands-on HVAC service and repair experience.
- 2Valid EPA certification card.
- 3MA Oil Burner License (preferred).
- 4Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic tools, including manifold gauges and multimeters.
- 5Strong troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical system failures.
- 6Clear communication with clients and team members, both written and verbal.
- 7Comfort working independently and within a team on commercial rooftops and mechanical rooms.
- 8Commitment to ongoing training and skill development.
