Overview
Millennium Space Systems seeks a Senior Environmental Test Engineer to lead environmental testing for satellite hardware on the 2nd shift. What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as primary point of support for environmental test equipment and processes
- 2Create spacecraft hardware test procedures and ensure test readiness
- 3Develop SOPs for technicians and improve manufacturing test efficiency
- 4Identify improvement opportunities to enhance safety and reduce lead time
- 5Implement automation for test equipment to boost throughput
- 6Author test procedures and qualify new products for space applications
- 7Troubleshoot root causes of test issues and execute permanent corrective actions
- 8Enable production autonomy by simplifying work processes and automating tasks
- 9Act as technical subject matter expert for environmental testing
- 10Lead test equipment automation projects to maximize efficiency
- 11Maintain security clearance and comply with export controls
Requirements5
- 15+ years of experience in environmental testing with focus on vibration thermal vacuum testing
- 2Expertise with thermal chambers TVAC chambers and vibration shakers
- 3Proven ability to author and implement test procedures
- 4Familiarity with SMC-S-016 and GSFC-STD-7000A standards
- 5Strong knowledge of PXI instrumentation and root cause analysis methodologies
