  • 8Represent Organizational Interests Before Government Bodies
  • 9Strengthen Field Government Relations Capacity through training
  • 10Foster Strategic Alignment Across the Enterprise for consistent execution
  • 11Provide Executive Counsel on Legislative Strategy to support decision making

Requirements10

  • 1Extensive knowledge of non-profit sector policies especially tax laws
  • 2Experience working with Senate Finance Committee and House Ways and Means Committee
  • 3Ability to brief Red Cross leadership on congressional issues and opportunities
  • 4Develop legislative/regulatory strategic plans with SVP
  • 5Strong interpersonal skills for diverse audience engagement
  • 6Understanding of emergency management and disaster response
  • 7Minimum 10 years related experience or equivalent education and experience
  • 8Management experience of 7 years
  • 9Bachelor's degree required with J.D. preferred
  • 10Travel throughout region with possible out-of-region assignments
