Overview
A senior counsel with deep legal expertise in AI and technology will join a top AI lab’s GenAI initiative to shape how models reason about real world legal tasks. You’ll evaluate and refine legal knowledge work, craft instruction specs, and build benchmarks that prove model improvement. This full-time W-2 role blends hands-on practice with collaboration alongside research and program teams. Hybrid work is based in the Bay Area, with on-site presence required several days a week.
What You'll Do4

Requirements5
- 1Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with strong academic background.
- 28 to 15 years of substantive post-qualification legal practice at reputable institutions.
- 3Current or senior-level in-house or law firm leadership with true matter ownership.
- 4Specialization in at least one substantive area such as corporate, IP, regulatory, or tax.
- 5Active U.S. state bar admission and experience using large language models in professional work.
