Senior Cost Manager Quantity Surveyor Data Center Construction
Overview
Turner & Townsend seeks a Senior Cost Manager Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management for a large-scale mission critical data center construction project. This client facing role ensures successful project delivery through cost oversight and commercial guidance.
What You'll Do11
- 1Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle
- 2Provide estimating cost planning and commercial management services
- 3Review and validate quantity and pricing information with design teams and contractors
- 4Meet with stakeholders to gather status updates and prepare forecasts
- 5Prepare written comments and executive summaries on contractor submissions
- 6Coordinate cost sources including supplier quotations and subcontractor proposals
- 7Offer commercial input on design decisions value engineering and cost impacts
- 8Manage cost checks valuations forecasting and commitment tracking
- 9Support contingency management risk tracking change control and post contract processes
- 10Prepare funding presentations and participate in value engineering workshops
- 11Develop cost plans and estimates throughout design and construction
Requirements7
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Cost Management Quantity Surveying Engineering or related field
- 3Minimum 5-7 years experience in cost management quantity surveying commercial management or project controls
- 4Construction consultancy experience preferred
- 5RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation preferred
- 6Strong understanding of construction industry technical matters including estimating procurement strategies value management value engineering and change management
- 7Excellent communication leadership analytical and stakeholder management skills
