Senior Controls Engineer - Boxbot
Overview
Boxbot transforms logistics through flexible automation. Senior Controls Engineers will own automated storage and retrieval systems at scale. This role drives the implementation of controls solutions across diverse automation projects.
What You'll Do11
- 1Program and debug structured text on PLC controller platforms (Beckhoff TwinCAT)
- 2Develop code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable
- 3Create robust programs and sequences to control complex multi-station machinery
- 4Write and utilize communication protocols such as OPC-UA to interface equipment with Boxbot`s proprietary software (BOS)
- 5Set up and tune servo drives and VFDs for fast and smooth operation
- 6Design and implement reliable control safety systems for gantries, conveyors, ASRS equipment
- 7Support electrical cabinet builds and field wiring
- 8Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and balance product specifications with process requirements
- 9Integrate systems to customer warehouse control systems and other automation equipment
- 10Manage suppliers during specification, design, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and installation
- 11Drive improvements in performance and reliability through system efficiency optimization, fault tolerance, and predictive maintenance initiatives
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 25+ years experience in Control Systems Design and Implementation
- 3Bachelor`s degree in electrical Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or related field
- 4Plain text proficiency in PLC programming (Beckhoff preferred, additional systems are a plus)
- 5HMI design (TwinCAT HMI, WinCC, Ignition)
