You will own the design and operation of Azure cloud network architectures for a large enterprise, supporting hybrid connectivity and DMZ security. It stands out for its dual focus on cloud migration and on-premises network modernization.
What You'll Do10
- 1Design and deploy Azure virtual networks, subnets, and peering for new cloud workloads within the first 90 days.
- 2Build and configure Cisco Nexus spine-leaf fabric to support high-bandwidth east-west traffic.
- 3Implement BGP and OSPF routing policies across hybrid cloud and on-premises boundaries.
- 4Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls for segmentation and threat prevention in enterprise environments.
- 5Deploy and maintain F5 or Citrix ADC load balancers for application delivery and high availability.
- 6Design and support DMZ architectures for internet-facing services, ensuring security compliance.
- 7Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues using TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, and DNS.
- 8Drive change management processes to ensure zero-impact network updates in production.
- 9Optimize cloud connectivity through Azure ExpressRoute and VPN gateways for reliable hybrid access.
- 10Monitor network performance and implement improvements to reduce latency and packet loss.
Requirements10
- 16+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- 2Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus OS and Spine-Leaf architecture.
- 3Experience supporting enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching environments.
- 4Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPN technologies, and DNS.
- 5Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment.
- 6Experience configuring and supporting enterprise load balancers such as F5 or Citrix ADC.
- 7Experience designing and supporting DMZ architectures.
- 8Experience implementing cloud connectivity solutions, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
- 9Strong understanding of network security principles including Access Control, Authentication, Encryption, and IDS/IPS.
- 10Experience working in large enterprise production environments with formal change management processes.
