Senior Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
Overview
Lead back office medical assistants to deliver compassionate patient care and ensure efficient workflow in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will coordinate activities, perform clinical tasks, and support internal medicine operations.
What You'll Do12
- 1Coordinate and oversee back office medical assistant activities to ensure compassionate patient care and efficient workflow
- 2Perform clinical duties such as patient rooming taking vitals and answering clinical telephone calls
- 3Process prescription refill requests and relay messages to providers
- 4Conduct UA screening and order lab work based on provider discretion
- 5Manage patient records using eClinicalWorks EMR system
- 6Monitor patient flow and address delays to maintain timely care
- 7Organize daily tasks for back office certified clinical medical assistants
- 8Conduct orientation and training on back office policies and procedures
- 9Ensure all provider and clinical assistant tasks are handled timely and efficiently
- 10Serve as backup for back office certified clinical medical assistants
- 11Complete prior authorizations for Internal Medicine and Mental Health divisions
- 12Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Requirements11
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Accredited medical assisting course completion
- 3National Healthcareer Association certification
- 45+ years of medical assisting experience
- 5Supervisory or management experience
- 6Basic computer skills including EHR experience
- 7Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- 8Teamwork orientation and organizational skills
- 9Resourcefulness in problem solving
- 10Willingness to travel 25%
- 11Day shift availability
