Overview
Pivot Path Solutions seeks a Senior C++ Programmer to develop and maintain the COMPASS model for salmon passage prediction. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead development of COMPASS GUI with expanded user-friendly features
- 2Complete adult passage module with migration and ecological process modeling
- 3Implement new features requested by NOAA West Coast Region
- 4Expand model to include tributary migration and early behaviors
- 5Perform routine maintenance and optimization of the model
- 6Collaborate with NOAA for debugging and parameter calibration
- 7Maintain code in Git repository using Qt 6/C++17 environment
- 8Provide progress reports and update technical documentation
- 9Ensure all deliverables remain government property
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2At least 10 years C++ programming experience
- 3Proficiency in large object-oriented codebases and scientific modeling
- 4Experience with Qt development and Boost libraries
- 5Strong Git version control skills
- 6Analytical troubleshooting abilities
- 7Excellent communication for independent and collaborative work
- 8Federal research program experience preferred
