Senior C++ Engineer - Linux, OOD, Semiconductor
Overview
You will build cutting-edge C++ software for KLA's next-gen mask inspection systems, owning machine control and data analysis modules used in semiconductor fabs worldwide. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, optical, and algorithm engineers to solve complex system-level challenges. This role demands deep expertise in multi-threaded and multi-process programming, with opportunities to deploy REST APIs on Kubernetes. Your work will directly impact the yield and cost-effectiveness of advanced chip manufacturing.
What You'll Do8
- 1Design and develop inspection machine control software using C++ and OOD for advanced mask inspection systems.
- 2Build data analytics solutions that process high-volume inspection data, optimizing for performance and scalability.
- 3Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement system requirements, translating complex physics into software features.
- 4Optimize and maintain existing codebases to ensure reliability and efficiency in production environments.
- 5Debug multi-threaded and multi-process applications in Linux environments, resolving issues that arise during integration and testing.
- 6Handle escalations from customer sites, providing timely technical support and fixes.
- 7Integrate REST APIs and RPC interfaces into machine control software, deploying with Kubernetes.
- 8Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers, promoting best practices in C++ and software design.
Requirements8
- 1Doctorate + 0 years, Master's + 3 years, or Bachelor's + 5 years of related experience.
- 25+ years of experience in C++ programming with strong OOD and design patterns.
- 3Proven ability to debug and analyze data in multi-process, multi-threaded applications.
- 4Proficiency in Linux-based development environments.
- 5Experience with RPC and REST API definitions, with deployment on Kubernetes.
- 6Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Singularity.
- 7Familiarity with frontend UI frameworks such as Qt, React, Angular, or Vue.
- 8Strong leadership qualities and teamwork skills, with a motivation for team success.
Salary Insight
