Senior Backend Engineer, Remote Assistance & Cloud Infra
Overview
Go and Python powered backend for real time remote assistance at scale. You will own the core services powering the remote assist platform, data pipelines, and vehicle–operator communication. Work on multi region cloud infrastructure, low latency APIs, and secure, resilient systems. Join a collaborative team shipping impactful software for autonomous trucking and vehicle intelligence.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build scalable, low latency backend services for remote assist session management and real time data streaming
- 2Design and deploy cloud infrastructure with protobuf and gRPC across multiple AWS regions
- 3Develop service data persistence using Redis and other NoSQL stores
- 4Implement data pipelines to ingest, process, and store real time vehicle data
- 5Collaborate with onboard software and frontend teams to ensure seamless data flow
- 6Ensure security, reliability, and resilience of the backend including fault tolerance
- 7Optimize data serialization and transmission to minimize latency and bandwidth usage
- 8Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and uptime
- 9Lead architecture discussions and mentor junior engineers
- 10Ship end to end features from API to data pipeline within 90 days
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 25+ years of professional experience in web services software development and cloud infrastructure
- 3Strong proficiency in Go and Python
- 4Experience with distributed systems and building scalable backend applications
- 5Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or OCI) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- 6Hands on experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis )
- 7Nice to have: experience leading projects end to end and startup or fast paced environment
