Overview
You will own the design, development, and support of tax-related applications built on GenTax and DSVS for the state of Utah. Your work directly impacts revenue collection and taxpayer services, with a hybrid schedule in Salt Lake City. You will join a collaborative team of developers and business analysts, translating complex tax rules into reliable software. What You'll Do7
- 1Design, develop, and support tax applications using GenTax and DSVS, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- 2Translate business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with analysts to define system behavior.
- 3Build and maintain robust integrations using C#, SQL, and SOAP/REST APIs.
- 4Debug and resolve production issues, optimizing performance of tax processing workflows.
- 5Participate in code reviews, enforcing coding standards and best practices for maintainability.
- 6Document technical designs and deployment procedures for future reference.
- 7Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver features within sprint cycles.
Requirements7
- 15+ years hands-on development experience with GenTax and DSVS.
- 2Strong proficiency in C# and SQL for building and querying databases.
- 3Experience with Visual Studio and version control systems like Git.
- 4Working knowledge of SOAP/REST APIs for system integration.
- 5Ability to translate business rules into technical specifications.
